Sewing Tuesday: Very easy Halloween blingy cat ear headband.

Hi!
It's Halloween tomorrow! Woo!
Here's how to make some last minute blingy cat ears if you've forgotten that you need a costume!
They take about 20 mins to make.

 You will need:

  • Black and pink felt.
  • Black thread.
  • Scissors.
  • Needle and pins.
  • Hairband, any will do, you can get the ears off it when you're finished being a cat.
  • Glue.
  • Sparkly beads or diamante.

Step 1.
Cut two rectangles the same size out of your black felt.
Fold them in half and cut an ear shape, it should look like a diamond when you open it out.

Use one as the template for the other so they are roughly the same.

Cut out two triangles of pink felt for the inner ear.

Glue these in place.

Step 2.
Fold the cat ears around your headband. Don't worry too much about where they are or if they're level for now, you can slide them around afterwards.

Sew with over stitch up the sides and over the tip of the ears.

Dot on some glue and stick your diamante or beads in place.

All done!
You can slide the ears in to the right place once you have it on your head.

Now all I need is some pink and black face paint for my nose and whiskers and I'm ready to meow!
Happy Halloween!
